Unit Overview
Australia is one of the world’s most diverse societies. (ABS, 2021). This unit will support your learners to develop real-world skills and knowledge to work in service-based roles with people from a variety of social and cultural backgrounds.
With integration of Dimensions of Competency, Foundation Skills, and Principles of Assessment, your learners will find this unit interesting, educational, and practical as they apply life and learning experiences to a real or simulated workplace environment.

Prerequisites and assessment
Skills must have been demonstrated in the workplace or in a simulated environment that reflects workplace conditions. Where simulation is used, it must reflect real working conditions by modelling industry operating conditions and contingencies, as well as, using suitable facilities, equipment and resources.
