Unit Overview
“Without proper self-evaluation, failure is inevitable” (Wooden, J., 1995). Learners will develop skills and knowledge in self-evaluation strategies to enhance personal workplace reflection for work-readiness. Learners will evaluate, enhance, and reflect on their performance. This unit will provide improvement methods in evaluating and enhancing own practice through a process of reflection and ongoing professional development.
This unit applies to staff in all industry sectors who are required to take pro-active responsibility for their own professional development.
The eLearning modules and assessments will help learners gain skills and knowledge to be job-ready to:
- Reflect and enhance their own practice
- Facilitate ongoing professional development
- Use professional principles and techniques
Prerequisites and assessment
Skills must have been demonstrated in the workplace or in a simulated environment that reflects workplace conditions. Where simulation is used, it must reflect real working conditions by modelling industry operating conditions and contingencies, as well as, using suitable facilities, equipment and resources.
